Durant Rotary Art Auction
The Durant Rotary Club has announced that their third annual Art Exhibition and Auction will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Massey Building in downtown Durant. The address is 201 W. Main Street. The public is invited to this fun event.
The Perry Berns Gallery of Dallas is presenting the auction and is furnishing the art work. Our auction will consist of watercolors, oil paintings, acrylics and a diverse selection of signed and numbered graphic works by internationally famous artists as well as those with great potential. All works are custom framed and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. It is expected that winning bids will be just a fraction of gallery prices.
Famous artists like Michael Scholfield, Marc Chagall, Frank Frazier, Howard Behrens, LeRoy Newman, Jane Wooster Scott, Macia Banks, Tarkay, Jaing, Bonny, and Joe Sambataro are featured, but there are many others. The Berns Gallery offers a five year exchange plan and they have a finance-free payment plan for pieces of $500 or more. Art is available for every price range from $50 to thousands. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the auction will begin at 7:30. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and checks are accepted.
Refreshments will be served during the auction including cheese, fruit, wine, coffee and punch.
All monies raised in this event will help fund various education projects including the Rotary Club Scholarship at SOSU, the SOSU Hogan collection, and the Bryan County 3rd grade dictionary project.
Please come and enjoy the art. Hopefully you will find a piece that you have a perfect place for and will support our worthy projects.
